Project Overview
Nestled in the serene foothills of Golden, Colorado, our Mesa Meadows project is a stunning reflection of craftsmanship and collaboration. This home combines the warmth of natural materials with a timeless aesthetic, capturing the rugged beauty of its surroundings.
The kitchen features modern inset frame cabinetry in Natural Quarter Sawn White Oak, whose soft grain and subtle tones perfectly align with that mountain aesthetic. The wood’s depth and texture bring a natural richness to the kitchen, providing a seamless blend of warmth and contemporary form.
Designer: Scott Wing
Cabinets: Shiloh - Inset Natural Quarter Sawn White Oak
Countertops: Hanstone Royal Blanc (Kitchen Surround)
California Quartzite (Island)
Our client, a skilled woodworker, added a personal touch by building a custom range hood to complement the cabinetry. The hood not only ties the space together but also becomes a focal point that reflects his artistry and love of natural materials.
The countertops further elevate the design using a simple Royal Blanc Quartz on the kitchen surround provides a clean, minimal canvas, while the rich California Quartzite island steals the show with its depth, movement, and luxurious veining. Though we faced some challenges working with the natural stone, the result was nothing short of spectacular.
The completed Mesa Meadows residence stands as a celebration of collaboration, craftsmanship, and character, creating a space that feels both elevated and grounded, embodying the essence of mountain-modern living in Golden.
